River Villa was designed around the idea that luxury doesn’t have to separate you from nature.
Set directly along the Río Damitas, this private villa combines deep-modern jungle design with handcrafted stone, expansive glass, warm natural materials, and an extraordinary collection of outdoor spaces.
The villa is surrounded by intimate little pockets — a hammock suspended over the river, a granite soaking tub sitting directly on a pond, a fire pit tucked into the vegetation, a shaded daybed beside the pool, and quiet places to sit and watch the water move.
Each space is intentionally close enough to feel connected, yet separated by lush vegetation so that every corner feels like its own private discovery.

The Río Damitas runs directly alongside the property, while two large ponds and a freshwater creek create an additional water landscape around the villa. Fish move through the ponds, visiting ducks may wander in, and the surrounding jungle remains alive with birds, butterflies, frogs, and other tropical wildlife.

River Villa was created exclusively for adults and thoughtfully designed for couples.

You may occasionally see or hear other guests exploring the property. Each home has its own private entrance and dedicated private spaces, allowing you to enjoy your stay with plenty of privacy.
Rural Costa Rica
White Noise is located in the small rural community of San Antonio de Damas, surrounded by rainforest and farmland.
You may occasionally hear everyday community sounds such as motorcycles, farm activity, vehicles, children playing, or daytime property maintenance. These sounds are part of the authentic rhythm of rural Costa Rican life and can vary from day to day.
If you’re looking for a polished resort environment where everything is controlled and predictable, White Noise may not be the right fit. If you’re looking to experience Costa Rica more naturally, that’s exactly what makes this place special.
Eco-Conscious Living
To protect the environment, we operate on sensitive septic system. Toilet paper is place in the provided bin rather than flushed.
As a rural jungle property, occasional power outages, heavy rains, or access delays may occur – especially during the green season. This is part of the natural rhythm of Costa Rica.
Community & Location
Located just 10-12 minutes from Route 34, the final stretch is a scenic dirt road leading into the rainforest, suitable for all vehicle types.
We are part of the small local community of Damas. Guests may occasionally hear everyday life — children playing, farm activity, vehicles, or local gatherings – adding to the authentic character of the area. We enjoy a generally peaceful setting, though you may occasionally hear routine neighborhood activity, such as property maintenance or other daytime work.

What are the soaking options at River Villa?
River Villa offers three distinct soaking experiences.
Inside the villa is a handmade stone soaking tub.
Outside, a granite-carved soaking tub sits directly on one of the property’s ponds.
At the riverfront is a separate fire tub with the option to heat it using hot water rather than relying solely on the wood fire.
Both outdoor soaking areas are designed to give you a different way to experience the surrounding water and jungle.
Is the riverfront fire tub only heated by fire?
No.
The riverfront tub can be enjoyed as a traditional fire-heated tub, but it also has the option for hot-water heating.
This means guests can enjoy the tub without needing to wait for or tend a wood fire.
What is the outdoor bathtub like?
The granite-carved outdoor bathtub sits directly on one of River Villa’s ponds.
The setting is surrounded by vegetation and fresh water, creating one of the villa’s most unique spaces.
Is River Villa air conditioned?
Yes.
Air conditioning is provided in both the bedroom and kitchen.
Ceiling fans are also provided throughout the home and outdoor lounging areas.
Does River Villa have a full kitchen?
Yes.
The villa includes a full kitchen with a refrigerator, cooking essentials, dishes, glassware, coffee maker, kettle, complimentary Costa Rica coffee, tea, snacks, and everything needed to prepare meals.
A two-burner induction electric stove can be tucked away when not in use to provide additional countertop space.
There is also a riverfront hibachi-style barbecue for outdoor cooking.

River Villa has a large private swimming pool with a dedicated wading area and two built-in concrete lounge chairs.
A shaded outdoor daybed with its own dining table and ceiling fan provides another place to relax beside the pool.

River Villa includes several places to eat outdoors.
The riverfront hibachi-style BBQ is positioned with a small dining area with two chairs and a bar-styled table overlooking the water.
There is also a dining table beside the pool and additional intimate seating areas throughout the property.
Are the outdoor spaces all one large area?
No — and that is intentional.
River Villa’s outdoor spaces are designed as a collection of intimate nooks and pockets.
Vegetation separates the different areas so that although they are relatively close together, each space feels private and distinct.
You may have a fire pit, hammock, bathtub, dining area, or daybed only a short walk from another, but each has its own atmosphere.
What wildlife might we see?
White Noise is surrounded by tropical rainforest, so wildlife is part of the experience.
You may see butterflies, birds, monkeys, frogs, geckos, lizards, ducks, fish, and other tropical wildlife during your stay.
Sightings are naturally unpredictable, which is part of the magic of staying in the jungle.

You are staying in a living rainforest and a small rural community.

Do we need a car for our stay?
A vehicle is recommended for exploring the area and reaching nearby beaches, Manuel Antonio, restaurants, and other attractions.
The property is approximately 10–12 minutes from Route 34, with the final portion along a scenic rural dirt road suitable for regular vehicles.
4×4 is not required for reaching our location.
Is White Noise a secure property?
White Noise is a private, owner-operated, and gated property.
Each residence has its own private entrance and dedicated outdoor space. Your hosts live on the property and are available if needed while respecting your privacy.
Can we book spa experiences during our stay?
Absolutely.
